We offer

  • Training for both novices and those wishing to refresh or improve their technique. We are affiliated to the international federation (INWA)
  • Membership of an active, low-cost, non-profit club which is part of British Nordic Walking

  • A friendly group of people who sometimes end a walk with a coffee or snack, or arrange a meal
  • Loan of Nordic walking poles when with us and access to discounts on poles and some outdoor gear

  • A regular pattern of walks in the Chalfonts, the Chess Valley and surrounding areas as follows:
  • 3 to 4 mile walks on Tuesday mornings at 10am
  • 5 to 6 miles, some further afield, on Sunday mornings at 10am
  • Thursday evenings 5 to 6 miles in the summer at 6pm

  • A chance to work on your fitness – we aim towards a respectable 3mph average pace but do not leave those who are working on their fitness behind. Some of us sometimes do faster, more aerobic walking for short stretches, (because they’re so helpful for cardio-vascular fitness) but these are completely optional!
